“Invisible Painting”: the theory of colorism and creative method of Vladimir Weisberg. Lecture by Anna Chudetskaya

How could an artist with a special gift of color perception give up color?

How did his famous concept of “invisible painting” come about?

Is there an opportunity today to get into the creative laboratory of the master?

Is it possible to reconstruct his theoretical constructions today? What does this give the viewer?

These and other questions were answered by Anna Chudetskaya, PhD in Art History, curator of the Vladimir Weisberg Foundation in the Department of Personal Collections of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Art of the Russian State University, author of the book “From Color to Light” (2018), dedicated to the work of the outstanding artist and theorist Vladimir Weisberg.
